We did a show last year with the same co host plus a few other folks and at the time, Jai didn’t find labels to be overtly offensive inside his ethnic group. A filled hour with humor and still the serious side! We welcomed Brandi and Frank from GLSEN Tampa bay and the newly crowned Newly Crowned Miss Gay Central Florida 2013 ShaeShae LaReese! Brandi and Frank shared valuable information about GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) and their upcoming event FIT. They also shared information on a resource guide for schools to participate in that helps children who are being bullied by supplying a safe place sticker for classrooms. Today on Chatting With The Sisters, Sister Tootie and Sister Monica Muffdiver Chatted about the upcoming Sister Event Wig Drive 2013, which will be held at the Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg on May 10th-12th 2013. tampabaysisters.org/wigdrive proceeds from the event will benefit Faces of Courage and the Sisters general fund. Faces of courage is a nonprofit organization that assists cancer survivors in the Tampa Bay area. they can be contacted at facesofcourage.wordpress.com. Tootie and Monica also chatted about Bear Soup Weekend which will also be held at the Flamingo on May 17-19th 2013.
